Natasha sends us these four lovely examples of Papyrus use on positively-themed decorative wall plaques. I don't know how many times I've seen the "Live, Laugh, Love" version, but never in Papyrus. Thanks Natasha!

Wild Prairie Soap

Wild Prairie. Look at that sign, click to view on Flickr for a close look, their sign is really nice, it couldn't have been cheap at all. Their name/logo, overall, looks high class I think. Then they have that font I've seen before under it that I'm not too fond of either. And then, Papyrus!

Anyway, I Google them and went to the Wild Prairie Soap website. The theme of the website? Mostly Papyrus! From their page headings through their entire product lineup, from something to their special Mango Kiss soap, to lip balm, to Sole Mate Foot Balm (really?). Wild Prairie Soap is the winner of this month's holy crap there's Papyrus everywhere award.

Lessons learned? None, I don't know, it doesn't make sense to me. Some people just really love Papyrus. Also, prairie is a weird word to spell, take note.

Papyrus in Edmonton

Healing Waters Spa, our first Edmonton sighting from Edmonton correspondent Megan. This is form Whyte Ave, old downtown, putting Alberta on the map.

The thing with this is, the sign looks like it cost a hell of a lot of money, and is pretty nice otherwise. The bottom shot in the windows gives it an oriental feel, to me. Side note: check out the store hours sign, does that fit? Can you not get a custom one, for probably $5 form Staples?

Straight Lightening is a molasses spirit, 75% alcohol from PEI adorned with our favourite font. A great find at the time, but it's as good as you'd expect.

Papyrus on TV!

Joseph sends in Papyrus via video clip from a TV show called "Life". LOL's all around. Somehow they're trying to solve a crime by playing Prince of Persia to unlock hidden files?...assuming the producers added in these game notifications for dramatic effect.

Durty Nelly's Papyrus-ing in Halifax

Wow. Halifax's favourite font strikes again! Durty Nelly's? Not only is this just terrible, Papyrus is probably the least suited font for the job. Fail.

Update: Got a message on our Flickr account where we host the pics from a tajpan33, Halifax, stating:

"We are the owners of Durty Nelly's. We feel that this picture is used out of context. As the owners of Durty Nelly's we feel that this wrongly represents our product. We would appreciate the removal of this image from flickr and any other accounts.

Thanks for your understanding."

Dainty Font-Wise Rice...

...uses many fonts. It's not too sharp due to the size and the plastic it's printed on, but on closer inspection it's clearly identifiable as none other than Papyrus!
