Hey remember Avatar?
Well, Kyle made this for us recently, just to show, yet again, that with a few minutes of tweaking you can get James Cameron's $200 million Avatar font. Not that just because something is big means you have to spend a ton of time on it to make it good, but you know, originality is good too.

Fresh Wave
This really looked familiar to me, when Jack sent in the Fresh Wave website loaded with Papyrus I thought this has been sent in before for sure. But no, it was actually this Organic Fiji product line, also with Papyrus of course, and on the natural/organic theme. Not very fresh now, is it?

More Papyrus Beer
For whatever reason, it seems like microbreweries are starting to grow fond of our favourite font, as seen here with this Dogfish Head "Pangaea" send in by Thomas. Previously we've seen this Papyrus & Sons, and at the Halifax Beerfest (which means we have to go back this year, you know, to be on the lookout).

Peruvian Papyrus Desserts
Gordon sends in a Papyrus sighting from a Peruvian restaurant in St. Louis called Mango. Checked out their website and it looks nice, places looks pretty fancy, but the physical menu? Full-on Papyrus, titles in all caps even.

Andy Pettitte doesn't know it's Papyrus
Oh, who's that? Andy Pettitte? Yeah I dunno. NY Yankee pitcher and 5-time world champ. Check out the full YouTube vid, at around 54 seconds says Jay. Ok he's doing a vid for stuff in a church, notorious for Papyrus. But still, it's almost like product placement, how well it made it into certain scenes.

The Story of Standing Cloud
The other day we got an email from David of Standing Cloud. As it turns out their logo is Papyrus and they were turning themselves in after being totally bombed by comments as much or more about the font then the actual service in this TechCrunch article about the company.
Interestingly enough, David took it pretty well and responded to the issue in the comments:
I failed to heed prior warnings about this issue and we will now have to pay our debt to society. In response to your comment and others, I have voluntarily turned myself in to the authorities at PapyrusWatch (http://www.papyruswatch.com), and we are already making plans to update the logo to something attractive and sensible. I hope you favor rehabilitation over punishment and would be willing to try the service, or at least read the article, despite our aesthetic transgression. So we wrote him back, and turns out they're putting up the job on 99designs for $395. So if you're ok with spec work and/or want to help them out, go check it out here (there's actually a couple there now that read "Stranded Cloud"...ouch). Ok lets make it right.

Papyrus loves you
Actually, no it doesn't. And if I ever got that as a gift, well, there'd be some conflict, and question as to whether you really did. This is part of a set on Etsy as Kristen points out. I miss you? maybe... I must leave? take that in Papyrus.

Detroit Tigres Papyrus on the Jumbotron?
Or you know, one of those big screens. But wow, giant Papyrus indeed snapped by Jonathan! This may be one of the weirdest uses I've seen, actually. Usually it's just sort of "ah damn, Papyrus got you too", but this is more like "Huh? Geez...". You know?

America's Next Top Papyrus
I can't believe we forgot about this one, but we've had a few people tell us there was Papyrus on America's Next Top Model, so thanks! So is Papyrus America's Next Comic Sans?
