Papyrus in Dublin


Papyrus shot from Dublin, neat! Kelsi sends this all the way across the ocean. We've gotta start updating the map again, sort of forgot about Flickr. I dunno if it's any good or not, maybe that's the only Papyrus in dublin and it's cool? But I doubt that.

  2. really... some one dedicated a wbsite to complaining about a type font.... with all that's going on in the world... a fucking type font...
    so what's next? are you going to go a crusade agaisnt new times roman?

    1. Actually, times new roman is a good font.
      Comic Sans MS is overused in pretty much every way, being used in everything, from being default, to being in every f**king classroom. Papyrus is similar, being used in the wrong place all the time. It went from okay in history pamphlets to never use. Comic sans and papyrus and courier are all overused. Courier is acceptable, but still overused and default.

  4. It is far more sad to spend your time complaining about the fact that people are hating on a font than to actually have a little bit of taste and find humor in the overuse of Papyrus. Honestly, if I had to cruise the internet telling meme-makers not to find things funny, that existence would crush me.

  6. People bitch about Comic Sans. Papyrus is so much worse. If you go to a health food store, all the "natural" products use this font. It's like they think the consumer is stupid enough to believe something can't be natural unless it's covered in earth tones and that ugly-ass font. Papyrus is the patchouli-stink, dreadlocked ass-hat of fonts.

  7. I am so happy I found this blog. I was just telling my husband how Papyrus is the new Helvetica, only 100 times worse. I see it everywhere from motivational posters to a roofing van parked down the street from my house. I hate this typeface, and I'm glad to see others share my view on this.

  9. Well, I really detest Comic Sans, but not yet Papyrus.
    I am sorry to say that this is not the only example of Papyrus in Dublin, or Irealnd. Further, most of our health shops also use the font!

  10. What a site! I thought I was the only one with such a loathing for this font. If you're looking for examples, I'd say look no further than the self-published novel market - they all use it!

  12. It isn't really the font so much, in this photo, as the spacing I object too. The Uppercase letters aren't used properly.

  13. ARE YOU KIDDING? PAPYRUS IS THE MOST PERFECT FONT TO HAVE EVER LIVED! (AND I HEARD THAT MAKES DELICIOUS SPAGHETTI TOO!) OH, TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF A FONT SUCH AS PAPYRUS!

  14. Dang, this is the main font in my web developer site ;P

    www.netdoodler.com.....but I feel it makes sense there. Because the site is suppose to look a 'sketchbook'; hence the *DOODLER* part, hence the papyrus font.

    I never even cared enough to notice how this font gets used in funny places until this one arsehole that I was thinking about becoming a partner with pointed it out.

    What pissed me off about it, was that instead of thinking for himself, he had to go through the trouble to actually QUOTE me a site like this about hating the font completely ignoring all the hard work I've put in drawing the comics and video animations. I think all that threatened him so he had to pick on the 'font'....people are such losers I swear.
